Sorry, I had to…

If you couldn’t figure it out by the title, today we are talking about Umbrella Strollers. Umbrella strollers are light weight (usually between 8-15lbs), they fold fairly tiny, like an umbrella (if you were wondering), and are great for errands, theme parks, or keeping at your parents/in-laws as a spare.
I’m not a huge fan of Umbrella Strollers. I’m a one hand push and large basket kind of girl, but, we still have one that stays with my Mom in Florida. I purchased our Chicco Echo during our last trip to Florida so I had something to use when we went to the park, grocery store, etc. It folds small, comes in some really cute, bright colors and actually has a descent sized storage basket. I was a little surprised with how much I liked the Echo. Even when my 30lb 2-year-old hopped in, it was easy to push. It has 4 recline positions, adjustable footrest, and a 5-point harness.

My major complaint is the canopy. It’s so small I had to drape an A&A blanket over the top to keep the sun out my babes eyes. Princess hates the sun in her eyes.

For $99 I think the Chicco Echo is nice to have lying around as your spare stroller. Would I keep this as my one and only? Probably not.

If you’re looking for something that is lightweight like an Echo but can handle a long day at a theme park, or withstand some major traveling, I would recommend the Uppababy G-luxeMaclaren Techno XT, Peg Perego Pliko Mini or Bumbleride Flite. When you buy a stroller, you want a quality product that’s going to last. Same applies to an umbrella stroller. Even though it’s your spare, make sure it’s a good one. It’s still transporting your most prized possession! I’m talking about your child if you weren’t sure… 😉
