Mixx it up!

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram,  you’ve probably seen a million and one pictures of this beautiful stroller I’m reviewing today.  We are in LOVE with our Nuna Mixx. This stroller offers so many great features, and is definitely worth taking for a test drive.

I searched high and low for the Nuna Mixx in the Mykonos color.  It’s beyond gorgeous and was the perfect stroller to take on our trip down to the Florida Keys.  I definitely put the Mixx through some rigorous testing, and it passed with flying colors.  Let’s get started!

The Mixx features a cozy reversible seat, with a full FLAT recline that was perfect during our trip.  We were out exploring from morning to night,  so no less than two naps were taken in Mixx each day!  When your child falls asleep in the stroller,  you know you’ve hit the jackpot.

The fabric remained cool in the Florida heat, and the large canopy offered plenty of coverage for my little cuties.  The Canopy has a zipper, which opens up and extends for optimal coverage with two mesh inserts on either side to allow for extra ventilation.  The handle bar is easy to adjust and the storage basket is HUGE.  The basket was able to hold a Ju-Ju-Be Super Be or Be Prepared (I tried out both), beach toys, drinks, and extra towels.  There’s even a divider to keep things organized.  My OCD self did a little happy dance when I saw that feature!

Nuna really had a child’s comfort in mind when creating this beauty.  The seat is plush and roomy, and offers a three or five point harness that really comes in handy when you have riders of different ages. The Mixx comes with a removable arm bar that’s perfect for attaching stroller toys.  A snack tray is not available yet, but, it’s in the works and will be available soon.  This will be a great addition to an already fab stroller!

The push on the Mixx is awesome!  It has front and rear wheel progressive suspension technology.  I pushed this stroller through every terrain possible in Florida… Sand, gravel, grass, bumpy sidewalks… You name it, we tried it!  It handled like a dream, just like I knew it would.

The rear tires are large, which allowed me to pull it through soft sand on the beach easily.  The foot brake is one touch and definitely flip-flop friendly, which I love!

One of my favorite features on the Nuna Mixx has to be the fold.  It’s so simple, that on day 2 of our vacation, everyone in the Family knew how to fold the stroller!

The Mixx can be collapsed with the seat facing in either direction, it’s fairly compact, and can be opened with one hand.  Whichever direction you fold the stroller, the seat fabric is protected, and I love that.

I gate checked (GASP!!) our Mixx on both flights, and I have to say that due to the awesome fold (and Frontier Airlines for being awesome!), this stroller was in immaculate condition when we received it.

My only complaint would have to be the design of the handlebar.  It’s comfortable, but the shape is different from most strollers.  I think it just takes some getting used to… My Husband didn’t even notice the difference, so, take it as me just being picky…that’s kind of my job though! 🙂

Happy Strolling

Inquiring minds want to know…

What made you decide you to buy the stroller(s) you own? Here is why I ask…

I went to the Zoo the other day with both of my kiddos to enjoy a gorgeous day outside. We were our usual hot mess. B fell and cut his knee open, H had a poopslion, and I was looking like a crazy person trying to push the stroller while chasing after my freakishly fast, bleeding toddler. Totally normal day.

Anyways, I am walking around the Zoo, just looking at everyone’s strollers (I’m a weirdo), but this time was a little different.. One Mom stopped me in my tracks. There it was, in all it’s glory. A Bugaboo Buffalo. It literally took everything in me to not walk over and ask her if I can push it around really quick! I know, I have problems. She was looking like a Rock star Mom. Perfectly put together with her perfect little baby, in her perfect little Bugaboo Buffalo. I was instantly jealous….of the stroller. I kept wondering how she chose the Buffalo. Did someone tell her how amazing it is? Did she do a lot of research? Or maybe she just walked into BuyBuyBaby and saw it glowing among all the other strollers and thought, hmmm, let’s get THAT ONE! Whatever the reason, she clearly knew what she was doing.

                                                                              Isn’t she pretty?

When I was picking out my first stroller, I didn’t really know what to get. I ended up with a travel system because that’s what everyone told me I needed. I wanted my baby to be safe at all times and that was my only concern.

Prior to getting pregnant, my major concerns were whether or not taking that last shot of Tequila was a good idea…. boy how times changed… But, you see where I’m coming from. I was kind of clueless.  I had no idea there were so many set ups out there! I was totally content with my stroller until I went to the mall and saw a Mom pushing around a Uppababy Cruz. I stopped, turned around, and went straight into Galt Baby to find it. That’s when I saw the light… So. Many. Strollers. That’s also when my poor Husband lost me forever.

But, back to my original point. What made you choose your stroller? I honestly want to know. This is something that goes through my head every time I am out with the kids. I will see a family pushing around a Bumbleride Indie Twin and think, nice stroller! I wonder what made them choose that….

Send me a message tell me why you chose your stroller. Was it the brand name? Looks? It fit into your trunk? Why???? I need to know.
